Flame breath and iconic tail
Claws, wings, and fangs
It’s the best Charizard I’ve ever seen
It fills me with wonder
I’m lucky to see
Like my first Artist Alley

I daydream and make believe because it’s
One of the few things they cannot thieve.
I grieve because I have loved and somewhere
out there my community loves me, I must believe.
I breathe and wait for a release for all my
siblings taken because as surely as my heart beats –
this invisible hope is the closest thing to an
embrace that keeps me from losing faith.
Prairieland Case Info & Analysis
Nothing for Snitches: For a Revolutionary Anti-Repression
from Abolition Media (origninally published at Abolition Media’s noblogs.org site, now archived at nublogs.org; also reposted at anarchistnews.org)
Context: In the Prairieland case, several people co-operated with authorities, either by directly providing information or by taking plea deals which affirmed the state’s positions against other defendants. This has led to a great deal of controversy and to discourse of varying intensity and clarity. This piece from Abolition Media lays out clear and coherent arguments against supporting informants and co-operating defendants, both in the Prairieland case and in anti-repression work in general.
“This statement is a call for unity against the forces that would nip any nascent revolutionary movement in the bud by suffocating its most basic survival instinct with equivocation about the need to keep out snitches.”
Support the Prairieland Defendants — DFW Support Committee site

- it is currently the most comprehensive source of news and information about the case on the web

Queering Insurrection
Be Gay Do Crime: An Introduction
by the Mary Nardini Gang
“Many blame queers for the decline of this society — we take pride in this. Some believe that we intend to shred-to-bits this civilization and its moral fabric — they couldn’t be more accurate. We’re often described as depraved, decadent and revolting — but oh they ain’t seen nothing yet.”
Toward the Queerest Insurrection
by the Mary Nardini Gang
“What does a marxist economic worldview mean to a survivor of bashing? To a sex worker? To a homeless, teenage runaway? How can class analysis, alone as paradigm for a revolution, promise liberation to those of us journeying beyond our assigned genders and sexualities? The Proletariat as revolutionary subject marginalizes all whose lives don’t fit in the model of heterosexual-worker. Lenin and Marx have never fucked the ways we have.”

“’Anarkata’ emerges as a response to the political alienation that has been experienced by Black anarcho adjacent leftists who reject both the whiteness of traditional anarchism and the authoritarianism of some forms of Black nationalism.”
“The deceptive absence of Black anarchist politics in the existing literature can be attributed to an inherent contradiction found within the Eurocentric canon of classical anarchism which, in its allegiance to a Western conception of universalism, overlooks and actively mutes the contributions by colonized peoples. In recent years, Black militants, and others dedicated to Black anarchist politics, have gone a long way toward bringing Black anarchism into focus through numerous essays, books, interviews, and public talks, many of which are brought together for the first time in this reader.”

“But the No State reality, if we ever have it, is something that transcends the limits of the possible today. It is something that can be established only by persuasion. It is the one political program that cannot be done by force. … Ultimately, the world has typically been changed by people who are unrealistic. … So when we talk about the ‘No State’ Solution, we are also talking about the perspective that does not just reject existing reality, but also rejects realism as a perspective.” – Mohammed Bamyeh

The ally establishment co-opts decolonization as a banner to fly at its unending anti-oppression gala. “twenty-five years from now, the significant fact should not simply be that an Italian hacker collective once ran an email service called Autistici/Inventati, until the United States placed it on a terrorism blacklist and the legal, technical and financial consequences made continuing too dangerous.
“The significant fact should be what happened afterward.”

Accomplices Not Allies: Abolishing the Ally Industrial Complex
from Indigenous Action; read online or download and print the zine
“Allyship is the corruption of radical spirit and imagination, it’s the dead end of decolonization. The ally establishment co-opts decolonization as a banner to fly at its unending anti-oppression gala. What is not understood is that decolonization is a threat to the very existence of settler ‘allies.’ No matter how liberated you are, if you are still occupying Indigenous lands you are still a colonizer.”
Affinity Fraud and Exploitable Empathy
by Håkan Geijer of Riot Medicine; available in English and French
“This zine explores how identity can provide camouflage that allows for intentional or incidental disruption of radical circles and organizing, and how the security culture we’ve developed to mitigate many threats can clash with the anti-racist, anti-sexist, and otherwise progressive norms within our movements.”
Betrayal: A Critical Analysis of Rape Culture in Anarchist Subcultures
original here, republished with new layout and cover art here
“Despite being a community which is explicitly political in nature, anarchists often depoliticize interpersonal violence and divorce it from its roots in systemic power.”
Don’t Just Do Nothing to Counter Fascism!
subtitle: 20 Things You Can Do to Counter Fascism – Yes, You! Yes, Now!; collaborative zine from the CAW collective and comrades
“As fascism rises, appealing to the state is futile; instead, individuals must act collectively to counter it. This text emphasizes the importance of building relationships, mutual aid, and solidarity, drawing inspiration from Jewish anarchist teachings and historical examples of resistance. It encourages readers to engage in various actions, such as creating art, supporting those in need, and fostering global connections, to build a more just and liberatory world.”
Mobile Phone Security For Activists and Agitators
by Håkan Geijer of Riot Medicine; available in English, German, Spanish, and Italian
“This zine goes into detail about mobile phone surveillance and the most common and effective countermeasures against it. Popular misconceptions and urban legends are addressed to help ensure that our threat models and OpSec are based on reality.”
a chronicle and analysis of increasing repression, from the George Floyd rebellion to the Prairieland Defendants; read online with hyperlinks to more info or download the zine to print; from CrimethInc.
“This case is intended to set a precedent criminalizing protest and intimidating people out of organizing in solidarity with immigrants and defendants. In this zine, we review the developments that brought us here and explore the what the stakes of this case are for people around the country.”
No State Solution: On Social War, Israel, And the Alibi of the State
by Shuli Branson; the title links to the beautiful zine in the beautiful CAW zine library; the essay can also be read on patreon and is archived at The Anarchist Library
“When I say there is no real political solution, I mean that the only solution is a no state solution. What would it take for Israel to give up statehood? For Palestinians not to desire statehood? For the US to give up its own statehood? All of these things are connected.”
The Final Straw Radio interview with Sabot Media and CrimethInc; download the zine, read the transcript online, or listen to the segment

“The significant fact should be what happened afterward.”
by Håkan Geijer of Riot Medicine; available in English and French
“This zine covers the methods you can use to threat model on your own and how these explicit steps can make you and those around you more safe.”
Voting is Not Harm Reduction – An Indigenous Perspective
from Indigenous Action; read online or download and print the zine
“A less harmful form of colonial occupation is fantasy. The process of colonial undoing will not occur by voting. You cannot decolonize the ballot. … We aren’t advocating for a state-based solution, redwashed European politic, or some other colonial fantasy of ‘utopia.’ In our rejection of the abstraction of settler colonialism, we don’t aim to seize colonial state power but to abolish it.”
